LUNGE;
there are some in this world,
particularly in australia
who think they are become shaman,
who think the blood of the cherokee
runs thick through their veins
but are pasty white and
insist on growing long dreadlocks
within which they might hide their shame.
a pathetic race,
they mope through mushroom mash deaths
for about ten years before arriving
blearily into a job more middle class than their parents
and suburbanly having two and a half kids
and a dog named running bear

and RIPOSTE;
ignorance it seems is the main ingredient of the diet of our age.
I’d like to think i have transcended it,
and true there are wondrous and occasional glimpses
of the true heavenly reality concealed by our ignorance
and the leadenness of our thoughts,
but even truer is the vast and penetrating sadness that is felt
when seeing the state of man, society
and our troubled relationship with the world
from the vantage point high upon the mountain of truth.
i guess the solution is….keep climbing.
